| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform violation DETAILS: Discussed system issues with Rae on site. Took pH, temperature and chlorine residual readings at first user and computed contact time to meet 4 log reduction of viruses. Water system maintains a chlorine residual of 2.5- 2.6 ppm and will start testing on a daily basis. This system does not have a turbidimeter or other means to measure turbidity and surface water source is not filtered before treatment/usage. Explained risks of Giardia and Cryptosporidium in unfiltered surface water to operator. System operator had bottles to conduct 4 repeat samples and will send in coliform report to state on a monthly basis. Violation is for not submitting surface water report, system does not have equipment to conduct turbidity measurements. ACTION NEEDED: 5 routine samples in February. | ||
