Details: | SUMMARY: CT Study for both WTPs DETAILS: System has been required to complete a CT study for both the Blodgett and Dick’s Fork water plants. I met with Dave to conduct a pre tracer study inspection to verify what equipment was installed, chlorine injection system, sample taps, computer tracking/recording capability, flow and usage data, etc. I met with Fred Kalish, DWP to review my findings and get guidance on demand flow requirements for the study. After the meeting with Fred Kalish, I discussed the study procedures with David and estimated potential flows and baffling factor. The 1 MG contact chamber at the Blodgett WTP study will be conducted first and the initial water level will be at 18 ft and the Starr Creek reservoir will be lowered sufficiently to accept up to 200,000 gallons. David will conduct some preliminary studies to calculate drawdown on the reservoirs to estimate demands and to determine dosage pump settings for chlorine increase for the study. The goal is to increase the chlorine dose to 2.2 mgl maximum and maintain that for the duration of the study. ACTION NEEDED: Contact Tracer Study. David will contact me when he has the needed information. |
