| Details: | I spoke to Jonathan at Hiland Water who manages and operates Tooley Water District that we received the confirmation nitrate sample collected on October 20th at EP-B Well #2 (Lower) and result was 20 mg/L. He indicated that the well had been turned off the same day the confirmation sample was collected and customers notified of the elevated nitrate issue. He emailed a copy of the public notice distributed. The initial nitrate sample result collected Oct 16 was 18.6 mg/L. The initial and confirmation results average is 19.6 mg/L which exceeds the nitrate MCL of 10. The water supplier will be informed of actions needed to correct nitrate issue. - M. Byrd. |
