Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on cartridge replacement project DETAILS: Patricio indicated that Mt Hood Meadows would be able to install pressure gauges before the new pre Strainrite filter, after the pre and before the main Strainrite filter and after the main filter, in each of the five separate trains. We discussed the importance of monitoring pressure before and after each pre and main filter to inform when to replace bags per manufacturers recommendations. Secondly Patricio indicated that the system serves water to approximately 50 employees, 4 days a week during the summer season. We discussed that system would be designated as year-round operating system. Thirdly, we discussed that any unfiltered water should not be sent to any fixtures for human consumption while filters are off-line for bag filtration replacement. Patricio indicated that Meadows would follow best management practices for treatment interruptions to restore potable water after new Strainrite bags are installed at system, and disconnect service to taps during this period. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to designate Meadows as a year round system beginning Oct 1, 2011. System to continue collecting required bacteria samples and completing monthly turbidity/CT reports every month to DWP. Meadows to keep DWP updated with status of installing new filters and restoring potable water per the treatment interruption BMPs (forwarded to Patricio). DWP to coordinate with Hood River Env. Health and provide support to Meadows. |
