| Details: | SUMMARY: Restoring water service to users DETAILS: Patricio updated me as to the status of restoring potable water service to the users after replacing new bag filters. Filters installed, NTU of filtered water around 0.11. Chlorine residual readings at first user around 0.9 ppm, and I indicated those were adequate to meet CTs, based on earlier results. The system was flushed this week, and a free chlorine residual of 0.8 ppm was detected in the boiler room. A coliform absent sample was obtained from the boiler room on 10/10, and the results are at DWP. No leaks with the new system and pressure is at 35 psi in system. I indicated that the system has followed the treatment interruption BMP and is able to restore potable water service to the public. ACTION NEEDED: Patricio to take routine coliform on 10/12. System to begin filling out monthly SWTR reporting form for when system restores water service to the public (document filtered water NTU, and perform CT calculations). DWP to provide support and schedule field visit to inspect new filters. | ||
