| Details: | SUMMARY: Malfunction of PLC DETAILS: Justin contact DWP to report that at 5:00 pm on Saturday November 5th, the PLC (programable logic control) of the WTP failed. As a result, the plant was automatically shutdown and all data recording was lost until the PLC could be reprogramed. Justin checked the plant at 12:00 noon on Sunday, and discovered the situation. He worked to reprogram the PLC and finished approx at 2:00 pm that afternoon, at which point he restarted the WTP. At no time did untreated water leave the treatment train or enter the clearwell. It is unclear why the PLC crashed - perhaps a power fluctuation (?). ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. | ||
