| Details: | Met with Daniel Mast at the property with well, tank and UV treatment looking for possible causes of foul water sample results. Finding no obvious cross-connection threat advised: 1. fill sample bottle only from faucet that is neither swivel or screened [sampling error] 2. evaluate frequency that pump kicks on in consideration of slow leak in distribution system [post treatment contamination] 3. consider a UV system that stops water distribution in the event of a power outage [disinfection failure]. Reminded him that minimum frequency for routine samples is quarterly (unless DWS dictates otherwise) |
