| Details: | On November 10th, I spoke to Jake about the 19 phosphate excursions reported for the month of October and emailed him information regarding actions to correct the violation since the allow number of excursions were exceeded within the 6-month period. He was unaware the phosphate minimums had been set. I informed him these minimums were set after the 2019 water system survey when it was learned no minimums had been set when corrosion control treatment was initially installed. Since the city monitored phosphate, 2018 data was used to establish the phosphate minimums which took effect in January 2020. We spoke again on November 12th and he indicated the city monitors phosphate at the entry point daily. Additional data was received on November 20th. After further evaluation, it was determined that nine excursions occurred in the month of October. On December 4th, the city was notified that lead and copper monitoring would continue every third year and reporting requirements were clarified. |
