Details: I spoke with Christian Torres about the recent total coliform positive result. I told him that 3 repeat samples as well as one triggered/raw water sample are required to be collected within the next 24 hours. Christian said that Hiland Water, based out of Newburg OR, are the ones he hires to be in charge of sample collection, treatment and water system operations.
I also emphasized that the triggered/repeat samples will need to be collected before any corrective action (i.e. increased chlorination) takes place.
We also followed up regarding Western Hills MH Estates' Lead MCL violation from October. I asked him if there were any changes to the water system which may have influenced the noticeably higher Lead results, and he said there was demolition work being done in the area and they were also bringing in new homes. This is an ongoing situation.
I told Christian that I highly recommend contacting Hiland Water regarding these results, but also that I will contact Hiland Water to discuss the required sample collections and follow-ups for both Total Coliform and Lead.
