| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil water notice issues due to finished water turbidity over 1 NTU DETAILS: A boil water notice was issued at approximately 6:00 PM on 12/04/12. High raw water turbidity in the Lickey Creek source (>240 NTU) made it difficult to produce water below 1 NTU. Due to water storage being nearly depleted, the decision was made to begin producing water over 1 NTU (with a boil notice) rather than lose system pressure. Water meeting the turbidity standard was being produced by the afternoon of Thursday, 12/06. A coliform sample collected in the distribution on Friday 12/07 tested negative for total coliform. By the time the coliform sample was collected the reservoir volume had been completely replaced with water meeting the turbidity standard. The boil notice was lifted on Saturday, 12/08/12 at approximately 8 PM. ACTION NEEDED: None | ||
