| Details: | I spoke with both Shannon Tice and Robert Trotter by phone in response to the Arsenic MCL Water Quality Alert received on 12/28/2020. They said that the high Arsenic water sample was collected at the ASR - Aquifer Storage and Recovery location, even though it has been shut off to the public and not representative of the water being served. Robert said they still sample at that location to get information and to get an idea of what the ASR is still producing after the disconnection of that source to the water system. Robert also added that the ASR was pumped completely dry initially but it was the natural recovery of the water within the ASR that still is showing Arsenic MCL exceeding results. However, the other sample collected that day which showed as non-detect came from the Reservoir. Robert added that they are discussing the possibility of incorporating some sort of filtration system at the ASR location for the water system that can hopefully be implemented next year by the summer, which is when demand for water significantly increases for that system. | ||
