| Details: | I spoke with Robert from McNulty Water PUD today to clarify the most recently received Arsenic water sample results, where the samples with MCL exceedances for McNulty Water were listed as "EP-D1" and "EP-D2". Robert clarified that both those samples are from the Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) zone, and both were also collected at the same sample tap. They were, however, collected at different times of the same day. Robert says that they collect 2 arsenic water samples per week at the ASR; the first sample gets taken relatively shortly after the pump is turned on. The second sample at that same ASR tap is collected about 2 hours or so into its pumping cycle for that same day. The purpose for this approach, he said, was to get an idea of the ASR's arsenic output to hopefully determine the appropriate treatment or filtration system to install on the ASR in the future. |
