| Details: | Haloacetic acid values over the MCL of 0.060 mg/L at three of City's four sample sites in 4th quarter December monitoring: Bluff, Cascadia Villa, and Champion. Since running annual averages at all 4 locations are below MCLs for both TTHM and HAA5, system is not out of compliance with DBP MCLs. However, an OEL-Operation Evaluation Level, has been triggered for HAA5. I forwarded OEL template to Mike to complete within required 90 days and return to me to assess situation. Mike indicated organics are high in fall with PWB's unfiltered, chlorinated source. This combination tends to increase DBPs. City will clean the Revenue reservoir, where PWB water is mixed with Alder Creek filtered water to try and remove sediment, in an attempt to lower the DBP values by next sampling in 1st quarter 2021. | ||
