| Details: | Jake notified me a recent storm event and high raw water turbidity causing issues with coagulation and filtration treatment processes. The distribution system storage reservoirs were less than have full and a water curtailment was in effect as of 7am this morning. All four filters are being continuously backwashed. Maintaining filtered water turbidity at or below 0.3 NTU may not be possible. Discussed boil water advisory if filtered water turbidity exceeds 5.49 NTU, and to consult if filtered water turbidity exceeds 1.49 NTU or situation changes. 1/16/21 10am: Jake phoned. The water treatment plant is running and sediment basin is being continuously flushed. Raw water turbidity 35 NTU. Filtered water turbidity to 2.0 MG clearwell 3.5 NTU or lower, with water sent to distribution measured at 0.2 NTU. Chlorine residual at entry point is just below 1 mg/L and CT is being met at all times. He will notify me as the situation changes. |
