| Details: | Jason Anderson, Dallas WTP operator, called the after-hours number at 7:30 pm. He said they have 500+NTU raw water starting Monday, intake troubles, and power outages all week. Thursday night, the streaming current meter went out, resulting in an overfeed of ACH coagulant from their normal dose of 2 ppm to 24 ppm. This clogged the sedimentation basins. The WTP plant was turned off as of Friday and a curtailment order issued. The raw turbidity was down to 60 NTU, but the filtered water turbidity was still high. Jason asked if we had access to tanker trucks to fill the in-town tanks and backwash the filters. I explained that we didn’t but suggested and contacted the Polk Co OEM, who was not able to provide any assistance. |
