| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Whaleshead Beach RV Resort DRC Dave Terrusa contacted the circuit rider to ask for assistance with greensand pre-chlorination for continuous regeneration, as the current greensand filter for iron removal does not use pre-chlorination or manganese permanganate to regenerate the greensand media. Assistance Provided: 1. Performed grab sample tests on raw water iron content to establish estimates for chlorine feed rates. 2. Discussed with the operator chlorine dosing implementation and feed rates at both treatment systems to correspond to the water flow for media continuous regeneration. 3. Wrote recommendation for modifications they can apply to adapt the iron filter to continuous regeneration using chlorine. Follow-Up Actions Needed: None at this time |
