| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive for sample date 5/5/14 DETAILS: I contacted the operator to let him know about the total coliform positive. He felt that is was likely a poor sample location. It was from a location that is not normally on the rotation. The customer at the location was complaining of water quality. The operator was not pleased with the sample faucet & feels that this could have caused the positive coliform. I let him know that a bad sample location could definitely cause an issue. I let him know that they need 3 repeat samples in the distribution & triggered source sample at the wellhead. I also reminded him to take 5 temp routine samples for the month of June. ACTION NEEDED: monitor follow up samples & respond as necessary. | ||
