| Details: | SUMMARY: Clogging Clarifier Nozzles DETAILS: The City of Willamina has a surface water treatment plant which treats water from Willamina Creek. The plant was constructed in 1998. The plant has a pair packaged treatment units with upflow clarifiers followed by rapid mixed media gravity filters. The City provides water to 1800 customers through 680 connections. Circuit Rider was contacted by Justin Riggs to provide assistance with clogging clarifier ports. The ports are located under the upflow clarifier. According to Mr. Riggs, approximately 50 percent of the ports are clogged.Researched possible methods for clearing clarifier ports without replacing the ports and/ or dismantling the clarifiers. This included a review of the original design documents. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional filter media information to city if requested. | ||
