| Details: | SUMMARY: DBP Total Trihalomethanes MCL DETAILS: Received an alert on August 12th for DBPs sampled on July 24th that exceeded the LRAA MCL for TTHM. I spoke to Bill on Sept. 4th and discussed four consecutive quarters of monitoring to evaluate TTHM levels. Due to the high result in July, the months to sample have been adjusted (i.e., October, January, April and July). The water system will be required to notify customers within 30-days of the exceedance. Surface water was in use when the sample was collected and changes to the treatment process are being evaluated to reduce DBP levels. ACTION NEEDED: Evaluate four quarters of data and determine how to proceed. |
