| Details: | SUMMARY: Filter Unit Uplift Issue DETAILS: The City of Willamina has a surface water treatment plant which treats water from Willamina Creek. The plant was constructed in 1998. The plant has a pair packaged treatment units with upflow clarifiers followed by rapid mixed media gravity filters. The City provides water to 1800 customers through 680 connections. Circuit rider is working with Justin Riggs with recommendations for filter media replacement and troubleshooting. Circuit Rider was contacted by Justin Riggs in regard to the packaged filter plants lifting slightly when the intake pumps begin to pump. Reviewed water treatment plant plans to determine possible causes of the plant uplift. Researched to determine if this is a problem seen by similar treatment systems. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to work with City to determine cause and remedy the filter lifting issue. | ||
