| Details: | I received a response from the drinking water program about the two unresolved violations for Northwest Aluminum Co. The violations will return to compliance (RTC) automatically one year after inactivation of the water system. If they reactivate before then, the violations and system score are again considered and sampling will demonstrate if the coliform issues were resolved. If the water system is still inactive after one year - likely late February 2022 - then the violations will automatically RTC at that point. The water system will proceed with plan review for the infrastructure improvements so we will become aware when the project moves forward. The missing coliform sample for January is valid as there was available drinking water to customers during that time period. At this time there seems to be no further action until after the Aluminum Co is finished its work in progress. |
