| Details: | SUMMARY: Filter Unit Uplift Issue DETAILS: The City of Willamina has a surface water treatment plant which treats water from Willamina Creek. The plant was constructed in 1998. The plant has a pair packaged treatment units with upflow clarifiers followed by rapid mixed media gravity filters. The city provides water to 1800 customers through 680 connections. Circuit Rider was contacted by Justin Riggs in regard to the packaged filter plants lifting slightly when the intake pumps begin to pump. Completed evaluation of the filter uplifting issue. Provided recommendations to the operator which included some temporary fixes and long term solutions of either installing correct sand removal filter or relocation of intake. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time. | ||
