Details: SUMMARY: E coli Positive Alert Response - Boil Order DETAILS: Received a call from Magic Valley Lab that one of the five routine samples collected August 5 tested positive for E. coli and another tested positive for total coliform. Three other samples tested absent for bacteria. Reviewed the situation with other DWS staff, and determined that a boil water order must be issued without waiting for repeat sample results. Called city councillor Bob Radford and operator Dick Davis to discuss the situation. Left messages with Mayor Adele Dockter and city recorder Shawn Snyder informing them of the boil order. ACTION NEEDED: City to issue boil water order, collect triggered source samples from wells 2 and 4.
