| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine Sample 10/11/2015 - Total Coliform Positive DETAILS: I spoke with Mariland at Highland, who spoke with Silas. He said Highland has already sent out someone to do a repeat samples, since repeat samples are required within 24 hours of the positive notification. Their Operation and Maintenance Manual outlines their procedure for responding to a routine sample coming back positive for total coliform, and they appear to be following it. The routine was taken at site #2. The manual proscribes the four repeats as 45 Modlin Ln, 58 Modlin Ln, 745 North Bank Rd, and Source. Since the system is ground water with no treatment, the fourth repeat will be labeled as triggered and be taken from the source. ACTION NEEDED: If any of the repeats come back positive for total coliform the system should issue their total coliform letter to the systems users.In addition, Highland is required to collect five routine samples the following month regardless of the results of the repeat samples. This is also outlined in their manual.10/30/2015 Update: Repeat samples were negative for coliform bacteria. They will take 5 temporary routine samples in November 2015. | ||
