| Details: | Michael briefed me on the follow up to the running annual average for arsenic of 0.013 mg/L, that exceeded the 0.010 mg/L MCL, for the 4-quarter period ending with 2nd quarter 2020. -meeting with circuit rider in September was helpful to frame what questions to ask as systems selects proposed treatment alternative. -When Mike reached out to Shiloh Water to discuss treatment plans, Shiloh had a question if treatment was really needed for such a slight exceedance of the MCL -System has run speciation tests on arsenic with Shiloh to determine most of the arsenic is arsenic V rather than arsenic III. I reminded system that even with subsequent test results below the MCL, treatment is required when the 4-quarter running annual average exceeds the MCL. Mike will contact Shiloh again to get help putting together a plan submittal for treatment for DWS review. |
