| Details: | SUMMARY: extension of corrective action plan for tracer study DETAILS: A tracer study was both part of the corrective actions this water system submitted last summer for the Admin Order, and was cited as a significant deficiencies during their 2015 survey. They missed the completion dates. Corrine Clifton sent an update in early January with the status of various corrective actions, but it did not include a proposed extension date for the tracer study, with an appropriate justification. I called to verify a recent email from her. The new completion date is August 31, 2016. That will give them time to order & install 2 new pumps, replumb which tank the chlorine injects into, stabilize the chlorine levels, and run the tracer study during the high volume time of year (worst case scenario is in the summer). They have been working with the Circuit Rider and Dave Funderburk on these issues. The Circuit Rider also intends to run the tracer study again in winter, when the low water use and their current storage situation has allowed significant DBPs to form. The tracer study work should provide info to help them control DBP levels as well as documenting their minutes of contact time. ACTION NEEDED: Change the tracer study completion date in SDWIS to 8/31/16 for both this element of their Admin Order corrective action plan and for correcting this significant deficiency from their last survey. | ||
