| Details: | SUMMARY: upcoming Tracer Study deadline DETAILS: Jim asked about how to handle their 8/31/16 deadline for the tracer study. The August date was requested by Weiss Estates as an extension on the original date (12/31/15) to complete the tracer study that they had written in their corrective action plan (submitted in June 2015) for the Administrative Order. While its true that the solutions they are currently considering would not require a tracer study (a well or contact pipe disinfection chamber), there is no guarantee of how long all this may take, and extensions have already been given. Plus, it would still be worth knowing the contact time afforded by just the last two storage tanks. If adequate with just those tanks, they may not need the contact pipe. So the current tracer study deadline will stand. Jim and the circuit rider are making prepartions to run one or two tracer studies with different tank configurations before the end of August. ACTION NEEDED: Jim will contact Rob Henry to determine what plumbing they need to do to allow chlorine injection before the last two tanks. The AO extension says Weiss Estates will conduct DBP monitoring within a month of the tracer study (so, by the end of Sept 2016). I will inform the Weiss resident who coordinates monitoring (Lynne) to wait to collect the 3rd quarter DBP samples until after the tracer study. | ||
