Details: | SUMMARY: Potential effect to DBP monitoring due to line break DETAILS: I spoke with Bill about some recent work at the system resulting in two line breaks in the distribution system. Bill was relaying a concern that the line breaks could affect DBP monitoring. The line breaks apparently resulted in a pressure loss and boil water advisory but I stated that I didnt have any concerns about the required DBP monitoring. I said I believe flushing due to the event could potentially lower DBP concentrations on a shoort-term basis but any other problems, like sediment in the lines, either wouldnt affect sample analysis or would result in the sample being rejected by the laboratory and replacement samples being collected.
