| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed monitoring and violations DETAILS: I spoke with Kris because he had questions about the recent violations for non-reporting of lead and copper and disinfaction byproducts. Lead and copper samples were apparently collected this year as scheduled but not directly reported by the laboratory. I told Kris that once those results are reported the violation will be resolved. Regarding DBP monitoring, the third quarter 2017 sample was simply missed but that violation will be resolved when the fourth quarter results are reported. I do expect these violations to result in the water system not earning outstanding performer status for the recent sanitary survey. I told Chris in an email that DBP monitoring can probably be reduced to once/year if TTHM concentrations remain low after 2018 monitoring is completed in the appropriate months. ACTION NEEDED: Monitoring for lead and copper in tap water and disinfection byproducts to be reported. | ||
