Details: | Corinne informed me that the five water storage tanks have been replaced with new NSF approved tanks. New tanks were cleaned and shocked before putting the system back online. All five tanks are manifolded together and only tank No. 1 will be used to determine contact time. The tank installer ran out of fittings and had to use the fittings for the GAC filter. The system is now looking for fittings to replace the ones that were removed from the GAC filter. In the meantime, this filter remains offline. I advised Corinne to contact the Oregon Association of Water Utilities (OAWU) to see if there is another water system that is able to help with spare fittings for the GAC filter. We discussed how this could impact their next DBP samples. Corinne is aware that their next DBP samples should be reported by September 30, 2021. Next steps: Corinne will contact Jared today to schedule the tracer study for July 29, 2021. I advised her to discuss with Jared the implications of having the GAC filter offline during the tracer study, if any. No further actions required at this time. |
