Details: | 07.30.21 - Tracer study postponed until new plumbing arrangement is completed. Jared with Civil West informed me that he was unable to conduct the tracer study on 7.29.21. chlorine dose was to high due to disinfection demand, above where he could run accurate samples at the CT sample port located after Tank 1. Jared was also concerned that without including Tank 2 in the CT segment, contact time from just tank #1 would be insufficient for Giardia inactivation without elevated chlorine dosing. Jay informed me that some of the residents historically have complained when chlorine was high. I advised Jared to postpone the tracer study until the system can install a flow meter and CT sample port after tank 2. Jared provided a new schematic of the new plumbing arrangements with tank 2 as part of the CT segment. I emailed a copy of the new schematic to Corinne. Corinne contacted David Funderburk to have him do the changes in the plumbing. Until now - 8.5.21, Corinne hasn't heard back form Dave. She is expecting him to call back next week - 08.09.21. As soon as the system install the plumbing changes and dial in the chlorine dose, Jared will run the tracer study again. if the dose, due to disinfection demand is still above where he can run accurate samples at the CT SP ( now located after Tank 2), he plans to modify the tracer study methodology to run it as a salt tracer. |
