| Details: | I notified Joel that I received a call from a district customer near Ashwood and Aims who expressed concerns about an old galvanized waterline serving his connection and several homes and the potential for lead exposure. I informed the customer the district is currently in compliance and water quality is within safe drinking water standards. The customer and I also discuss distribution sampling and maintenance practices (flushing). The customer plans to sample for lead at his residence using an accredited lab. Joel noted he is not aware of any lead goosenecks or pigtails installed in the distribution system. We discussed reviewing the district's lead and copper sample sites to ensure the targeted criteria was met, and reaching out to the customer to further evaluate his concern, offering assistance if needed, and documenting effort and any actions taken. No further action needed at this time. |
