Details: | During the survey and WTP inspection I discussed with Jeff from Milo Academy about the recent high result for HAA5, a disinfection by-product. The quarterly results were 0.0608 mg/L for the 3Q results. The LRAA is 0.037 mg/L which is below the MCL, so no increase in monitoring is required at this time. Jeff is looking into new technologies to help reduce the routinely high DBPs in the 3Q. This is usually when the system changes over to the South Umpqua River, so organics may be high in the source. The system may try to add a fan to the clearwell (the only system's storage tank) to see if venting off the gasses while the water sits in storage may help. | ||
