Details:	SUMMARY: Main WTP chlorinator shut down (unknown reason) resulting in 0.4 MG of unchlorinated water going into distribution DETAILS: Sunday 10/05/06 about 2:30 pm Alarm at WTP alert operators to a problem. Somehow the alarm shut down the chlorination system. Before it was restored about 0.4 MG of water was sent to the system. Tim feels that most of the unchlorinated water was flushed to waste from the main line before it reached distribution. Operators are busy checking for chlorine distribution residuals and collecting bacti samples. Systems that purchase from salem are being notified to inspect their distribution lines for residual chlorine. So far everything is looking normal. Also, the Franzen reservoir is currently offline. ACTION NEEDED: Continue testing for chlorine and bacteria. We will be notified if any problems are detected.
