| Details: | SUMMARY: Chlorinated and flushed system, took coliform samples DETAILS: I met with Clay Webb, Mayor, Chris Webb, Assistant Operator, Shawn Snyder, City Recorder, and Dick Davis, DRC operator. The City is having a new chlorine solution pump installed on 11/14. We placed 5 gallons of 12.5 per cent sodium hypochlorite in the 200,000 gallon reservoir and began flushing the system at the flushing station at the low end. The chlorine residual diminished within 5 minutes, from 1.0 mg/l to 0.5. However a residual was measured at all sample locations. Six coliform samples were taken including a raw water at the well. All samples were negative except the one taken at the swivel faucet in the Mirage Café. ACTION NEEDED: City to continue daily flushing. DWP to review records to possibly invalidate sample location at café due to the faucet condition. | ||
