Details: SUMMARY: Equipment Selection Assistance DETAILS: Rainbow Rock village owns and operates a small system with 50 connections serving approximately 200 people. Water supplies from two infiltration wells near Taylor Creek. They are in the process of replacing their existing treatment equipment with similar units based on our previous recommendations. The system has requested assistance in providing vendors with technical information and some technical advice regarding some specific material/equipment options and compliance with the OARs. Bill Randall, the owner needed assistance with evaluating a proposed system for compliance with applicable rules. The system as is provided to Bill did not meet the rules in a least a few areas, our recommendation is to provide at least 7 sq ft of filter area for 15 gpm and provide provisions for backwash at about 15 gpm per sq ft of filter area. ACTION NEEDED: None
