| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Rob called to report a coliform detection in the routine sample for October. He said Bill was out of town and wanted to know what to do. I informed him to take 4 repeats in the distribution and a triggered sample from each well, and to take 5 temporary routines in November. I also reminded him that as long as the source/well tests continue to be free of total coliform/Ecoli, then the state will not require continuous chlorination but the system will have to continue to take the extra repeat triggered and routine samples as long as there are detections in the distribution. They will also have to continue to provide a public notice. I suggested providing a continuous chlorine residual in the storage tank and distribution would most likely eliminate the routine total coliform detections. ACTION NEEDED: Follow up on repeat/triggered sample results. | ||
