| Details: | SUMMARY: Yaquina Bay Water Main Break Update DETAILS: On Tuesday (02/07) the repaired water main under Yaquina Bay will be flushed (while isolated from the Newport South Bay). Special coliform samples collected from the flushed line will be sent to Pacific Analytical Laboratory in Corvallis on Wednesday (02/08). Pending sample results, the eight-inch main serving the South Bay will be returned to service on Thursday (02/09). Water is currently being supplied to the Newport South Bay by Seal Rock Water District (00798). This water source is ultimately from Toledo Water Utilities (00899), wholesaler to Seal Rock Water District. Because of the active emergency intertie there is little risk of a distribution outage in the South Bay. ACTION NEEDED: Sampling to verify successful main disinfection and return to service | ||
