| Details: | SUMMARY: contacted system due to TC positive routine sample DETAILS: Called Duane on his cell phone because the routine sample he collected on 5/14 was positive for total coliform. He knows what to do - take one sample at the same location (sample station #1, at 700 Chewaucan St.), one upstream, one downstream, and one at the well in use at the time (Well 3, although he says he messed up and wrote "well 1" somewhere on the routine sample lab slip - just because it is the first well you come to). We also discussed that if routine samples keep being positive for total coliform, they may want to start residual maintenance chlorination. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of the repeat samples - if absent for coliform, the system still needs to collect 5 temporary routine samples during the following month (June). Consider referring the city to our Circuit Rider to evaluate their choice of routine sampling locations, management of storage tank (turnover rate), etc., to try to reduce the chance of positive coliform results. | ||
