Details: | SUMMARY: Pressure loss due to gate valve failure DETAILS: On Friday August 30 an 8” Gate valve bonnet failed at 9:30 PM. The water main was shut down causing four service connections to loose positive pressure on SE Bay Blvd. The valve was repaired in-ground and was put back in service after the main was flushed and chlorine samples showed a 0.7 ppm residual. Bacteria samples collected in the affected area on 9/03 tested negative for total colifrom. A boil water notice was not issued. ACTION NEEDED: Recommended reviewing Best Management Practices for Service Outages |
