Details: SUMMARY: LCR - One sample exceeded MCL for lead (.0180). DETAILS: 5 LC samples taken 9/16/2014. One sample exceeded MCL for lead. Sample exceeding MCL was taken at drinking fountain outside of lodge. There was no idea on how long the drinking fountain could have gone unused. The other sites were motel room, studio unit, cabin and a little used faucet at the back of the kitchen. The rentals that guests would have occupied had all been vacant and water unused for at least 3 days. The facility does have single family residences served by the water system that should be used as Tier 3 sites first. However, Larry stated that the State (he could have also meant County) water personnel had indicated which sites to use. ACTION NEEDED: Choose more appropriate sites for sampling. Use first draw water after idle time of 6 - 18 hours. I have requested from state DWS to get back to me on whether the exceedance is from a valid sample, and if re-sampling is to be done now or next year? Rebecca Templin is to get back to me with info.
