Details:	SUMMARY: Lead exceedence follow up DETAILS: Talked with Jim Hart regarding the lead exceedence issue from 2013. I informed him that the system is now on 6 month rounds for lead and copper testing. They have been collecting WQP information. When asked what steps they would look at taking if corrosion control is needed to lower the corrosiveness of the water, Jim stated that he didn’t think the city counsil would approve doing any additional treatment. He said since the water doesnt have lead in it when it is delivered to the homeowner, the problem is on the homeowner to remove the lead piping on the private side of the meter. Jim also stated that backflow devices should be installed at the homeowners expense in order to not contaminate the public drinking water. I let him know that he should contact Rob Henry, the circuit rider, to discuss what options should be taken to reduce the corrosiveness of the water. ACTION NEEDED: Continue 6-month rounds for lead and copper testing. Contact circuit rider to discuss treatment techniques for reducing lead.
