| Details: | SUMMARY: 2,4-D detection DETAILS: The quarterly sample collected on 4/11/17 for 2,4-D from EP-A Aldersgate showed another detection of 2,4-D just above the detection limit and well below the MCL. This system was triggered into quarterly monitoring for 4 consecutive quarters beginning 10/1/16 for this contaminant due to a detection on 8/23/16. I asked Tim if there was any herbicide spraying occuring around the sample site or near the slow sand filters. There is no spraying around the filters but it is unknown if there is spraying occuring near the sample site. ACTION NEEDED: Continue quarterly monitoring for at least one more quarter. Review after 4 quarters complete (after 3rd quarter 2017). May reduce to annual monitoring if quarterly results are reliably and consistently below the MCL. | ||
