| Details: | A pipeline valve malfunction today caused a customer to experience a loss in positive pressure. As the user is out of water, and there are approximately 30 homes downhill from the customer, there is the concern of back-siphonage of non-potable water affecting this area of the distribution system. All other areas of Clairmonts distribution are hydraulically isolated from this impacted area with positive pressure. CRW will follow best practices (fix problem, flush, restore service pressure and chlorine residuals, and take coliform samples) before contacting DWS for guidance. Lifted 09/19/2019: Suzanne called that a coliform absent sample was received today, and the affected customers are being notified that the localized boil water notice is being lifted, and to flush interior plumbing. |
