| Details: | Facility well has confirmed high arsenic levels. facility is in bilateral compliance agreement with State Drinking Water Program to install new well and possible new treatment. Facility is working with USDA with grants and should have funding by end of 2020. Facility provides public notice regarding arsenic as required. higher levels have been tested since BCA signed and first public notice distributed. Facility arsenic level is now testing at level to require a "DO NOT DRINK" advisory to be posted. the advisory will be removed once facility has completed BCA with State Drinking Water Program and Arsenic levels in water return to level below MCL. Lifted 07/18/2023: Arsenic test shows running average for arsenic in system water below maximum contaminate level for arsenic. The system water advisory is lifted . The system will continue to monitor for arsenic levels quarterly and will continue compliance schedule for construction of new well and treatment system. |
