| Details: | E. coli bacteria were found in the raw water sample collected on 03.24.21. One of the five follow up samples collected on 03.30.21 confirmed fecal contamination in the well. Corrective actions were required. The operator is currently inspecting the well to identify temporary sources of contamination. The source water is chlorinated prior to consumption, but the system has not yet provided verification that they can achieve 4-log virus inactivation. A temporary boil water notice was posted on 04.02.21. The boil water notice will remain until adequate disinfection can be verified and any significant deficiencies or temporary sources of contamination are corrected. Lifted 05/05/2021: Ryan informed me that they have been able to maintain a minimum of 0.8 PPM free chlorine residual for the past 5 days. This is the minimum free chlorine residual they needed to achieve 4-log viral inactivation. The system has been placed on interim 4 log virus compliance monitoring. Their 4 log schedule started on May 1. |
