Details:	Scott emailed DWS to notify us that Portland Water Bureau will adjust the alkalinity to approximately 25 mg/L as Calcium Carbonate. It may take up to 2 weeks for the increased alkalinity to reach all locations in the distribution system. This adjustment is the first step in the new corrosion control treatment and future steps will adjust the pH to a target of 8.6. The next step will be to increase the pH from 8.3 to 8.5 in late May, and then adjust the pH again in late June to 8.6.
