Details: | EH spoke to Tony today as follow up to email re next steps to manage coliform alert response and boil notice system wide. Tony advised of the following: • Until confirmation samples are clear of coliform, stay on boil notice. • Crank up the chlorinator: Residual appears really low. Let’s get up to 2-3 ppm for a couple of days. • Ask folks to keep flushing toilets and running water to get movement through the lines. • Once chlorine has had a chance to do its job, collect at least 2 samples in different, representative points in the distribution system. Label them as “special” rather than repeat or routine. • Triggered (source) sample: If there is a sample tap at the well, please draw from there. If not, pre-chlorinator in the pumphouse will do. EH to follow up when results are available. Level 2 investigation is scheduled for November 4. UPDATE NOV 5: Operator unavailable for meeting. Will reschedule. Severe weather day contributes to delay. |
