| Details: | 08.18.2023-New well project and MPA samples Adan informed DWS that he was finally able to get a well driller to come out and take a look at the proposed location for a new well at Alfred Loeb Park. Adan is currently working with Pacific Pump out of Grants Pass on scheduling an onsite visit to receive a bid for the connection. The project has already been submitted and received partial approval by State Parks. Adan is expecting to received final approval of the entirety of the project by next week. Project funds have been set aside for this biennium. Next steps: Adan will need to start getting the engineering permits for OHA. The new well is expected to be built and connected by Feb – march of 2024. Once the new well is up and going, Phase 2 of the project will be the abandonment of the old well. Shawn Stevenson, DWS hydrogeologist, clarified that based on how OPRD is proceeding with their corrective action and drilling a new well, the MPA samples will be postponed indefinitely. Shawn will work with compliance on the schedule. |
