| Details: | Rob called to report that the backwash recycle membrane rack did not pass the direct integrity test done at 1:30 am. The pressure was not held for the 5 minute test. The rack was taken off line, but put back online a few times for 15-30 minute stretches for troubleshooting. The turbidity of that rack never exceeded 0.012 NTU. The rack produces about 300 gpm out of the 10 MGD total. The CT was over 5 times what was required. Operators pinned a few fibers but that did not seem to be the issue. A valve problem was suspected. On 10/18 Rob reported that operators found the faulty valve. It was never a water quality problem, rather the valve prevented the air line to provide adequate pressure to complete the direct integrity test correctly. They will replace parts and get the rack back online soon. |
